Greetings All,

Firstly an introduction:

I am a retired Flight Service Officer (remember them) employed by Air Services Australia and their predecessors between 1970 and 2001.

My present interests include aviation history and as such I am a member of the Aviation Historical Society of Australia.

AHSA has been requested to assist in producing a DVD to be distributed by Vicorian Government to all year nine students in Victoria.

Having done a couple of thousand words on Boeing in Victoria and Air Ambulance, I am now in the process of doing something on the late lamented NSCA.

If anyone is interested in assisting with this project I would really appreciate it. I have some photos but need more (where did all those slides of the yellow choppers that I took at Moorabbin go?) I have also received a preliminary fleet list from another AHSA member and with his permission I will upload that.

I hope that there will be some assistance available from you folks. I am still smarting from the response that I got from another blog with an interest in the organisation mentioned.

Cheers

Lance

You may also get some more responses from asking on Rotorheads?

Hi there. Not sure if you're still interested but this website may help:

Catch Me Network - "Taking into Account" (http://catchmenetwork.ning.com/)

As an aside, many years ago I read a great book about the NSCA.
I think it was called "Rescue" and covered around a dozen of the NSCA's most dramatic rescues.

I'm keen to track down a copy.

If anyone knows the actual name and author I'd really appreciate it.
