BBC are reporting it was an inward flight from Johannesburg. Sadly it sounds like everyone on board has lost their life.

My deepest sympathy to the families and friends of the colleages that we have lost today. A number of aviation companies had staff who were positioning into HLLT. AirQuarius and Global you have my heartfelt sympathy for the ones we lost. They all lived and breathed aviation. RIP my friends and colleagues.

BBC just said that only a Dutch child survived.

What airline flies from Joburg to Gatwick, via Tripoli?

...as always in these situations, itīs probably best to post everything on one thread. The main forum thread is here (http://www.pprune.org/rumours-news/414936-afriqiyah-airbus-330-crash.html)
