Do you mean CAVOK? Visibility 10km or more, no cloud below 5000' above aerodrome level and no cumulonimbus at any level. (I think it comes from Cloud And Visibility OK.)

CAPOK is what anoraks are made of ...

Errm no.... Kapok was used to make "Lifejackets"....
Which often killed those "Jumping off the Ship" by breaking their necks on impact with the water...[The LJs were "Rigid" ]
Yes, it was used as a filling for Anoraks, but has been superceeded by "Man Made Fibres"......:=

(I think it comes from Cloud And Visibility OK.)

It officially means CEILING and Visibility OK.

There is also CAVU which means Ceiling and Visilibilty Unlimited ie no cloud below 10,000 feet and visibilty 10 kms or more.

Even the new soft LJs will break your neck if you jump into the sea with them. The technique is to pull down hard with one hand on the LJ at the neck when you jump. Hold your nose with other hand to stop water being forced up, nasty if very cold water.
