Hi guys,

Ive currently got an inflamed jaw joint and have been given some dicloflex tablets by the doctor. Before I start taking them, I just wanted to check if these can affect the validity of a CAA Class 1 medical in any way?

Thanks

Best way to be certain is to bell the CAA medics, or your AME, for a definitive answer.

It's unlikely that short term use of this drug will cause problems in a young chap (making an assumption here:)).

Long term use in older people, however, could be deadly.

As HD says, take advice off the authorities, but I doubt the drug would ground you.

Diclofex is just Diclofenac, a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) closely related to Ibuprofen/Brufen and its friends.

The drug itself is not, to my knowledge, on the banned list (I can't think of any NSAIDs that are) but the condition you are using it to treat may make you unfit if it affects you flying
