Does anyone know of books detailing military - particularly Air operations of all nations in Ethiopia during the 20th century?

I'd also be interested in ground based ops grom 19th Cent onwards.

Thanks!

Try to find a copy of 'The Life of my Choice' by Wilfred Thesiger. William Collins 1987 and Fontana paperbacks 1988. ISBN 0-00-637267-8. Thesiger was born in Addis and you have to read his life to believe it possible. 'I thought the Danakil an attractive-looking people, and despite their murderous reputation they appeared to manifest a genuine friendliness.......The Danakil invariably castrated any man or boy whom they killed or wounded, removing both the penis and scrotum. An obvious trophy it afforded irrefutable proof that the victim was male....' The chapter on the Italian invasion of 1935/36 has some Air Ops background and there is a detailed account of his WW2 campaign there. There are also plenty of references to other, earlier military operations. Strange, I only finished re-reading it about a fortnight ago.
