View Full Version : ECG checked by a cardiologist?

Hi,

I recently went for my class 1 medical in Australia. Concerned with the time it was taking to get my results from CASA, I shot them an email asking what was happening.

They responded that my ECG had been sent to a cardiologist and the findings were being assessed by a CASA assessor.

I was wondering if anyone knows if this is standard procedure, or should I be seriously concerned with this.

When I had to undergo medicals, I was always told that the ECG readout would be referred to a cardiologist. I believe it is standard procedure in the UK, but someone with up to date knowledge will probably comment.

Don't worry....

Awesome, all is good. Passed my class 1 and spoke to CASA. Apparently it is standard procedure to send all ECGs to a cardiologist for assessment, and my heart is fine. :ok:

Thanks for your response HEATHROW DIRECTOR.
