Where to go??

Hello all of you Spotters!

I'm thinking of visiting some major airshow this year and do some spotting.

I've never spotted before and I'd like some advice on where to go and what to pack. I'll be flying from Gothenburg, so Ryanair would be great. Planning on staying there just over a weekend and live in some cheap motel. Now please keep in mind that my budget isn't on a BA Senior Captains level, so I would have to get there with a cheap airline!

I appreciate all advice I can get!

I'd try Farnborough Airshow (fly to STN then train/bus etc) or Berlin as the show is at SXF.

Check the dates of shows at Duxford.. Very easy to access from Stansted.

Most Local Accommodation in the farnborough local area is sold
out has been for weeks . Some people are having to use hotels
and B&B Miles away.
Also i would suggest RIAT- weekend before the Farnborough Show
this is at RAF Fairford there is a Web site so use Google .
this again gets very busy and Accommodation may be difficult
possable best bet in both cases is a Hire car and try to book
as close as you can to venues.
