Found you owe £2000 in back pay this month?
If no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the JPAC-Team.
Dont bother!!
Its an admin **** up which affects alot of us in this trade.
I have jumed through all the hoops - nothing we can do; it is getting sorted out next month, although there is a chance you might be £400 down this month.:ugh:

Any sign of exactly what the cock up is? Too much basic pay going in?

I know there was a mess up with the op-allowance or LSA payments, but have seen nothing recently about that.

1 Apr 10(I think) they updated ALM to be WSOp on JPA. High band low band **** up, the £2000 owed is a mistake, like I said they say it will be sorted out in Mays pay packet.

Not only that... those of you that spent the 2 weeks in 'field conditions' year last July at Innsworth marching around the car-park ready for the mass 700 strong wash out parade at Fairford.....(breath!).....will see they have been docked around £100. You can only get it back if you can find the joining instructions stating that we had to stay until the Saturday morning. If you have a copy, would love an email !!

Spit,

If you mean the Queens Colours Parade from 2008, I have the Admin Order. PM me your email address and I will send you a copy.

Having just spent an afternoon bouncing between JPAC and JPA auditor at my unit trying to find out why I still had not recieved some money owed that had been deducted from my pay in Jan this year (fsi double charge)

JPAC answer was "its a unit issue, i can raise a service request but it will go back to the unit to sort" on asking who at the unit, JPAC very helpully told me it went to a group address at my unit and I therefore needed to speak to "them". On asking who I needed to speak to on the group list, the answer again that was I would have to speak to "THEM". On asking for a name, number, or email, again I was told it was a group address and my unit could tell me and I should speak to "THEM"
Does anybody have the number or email for this mythical THEM please!!!!!!!????

14 Greens,

No but if you write a snotty letter to AFPAA giving them 21 working days to get it sorted before you take them to small claims court for damages and/or redress, this will do the trick.

You will have it sorted within a week if you copy to OC PMS, your wing boss, and of course, the Staish.

Let them know in no uncertain terms this is their problem, not yours. You need to include evidence, IE a photocopy of your pay statement with the erronous withdrawl on it. Specify exactly where they have made the error and what exactly it is they need to do within 21 working days. Post the letter recorded delivery so they cant claim they didnt recieve it.

Unfortunately, this is the only sort of action JPAC will respond to; I have been down this road before, believe me, "Sticking it to the man" makes all the hassle of writing the letter worth it. :ok:

I had a headache last week getting bounced from JPAC to PSF over the lower banding issue. I have been told to wait it out.

Don't fall for the 'it'll get sorted in time' line -
Around, ooh, 1987 I was temporarily grounded medically and 'they' forgot to board me, I lost several months flying pay that my Wingco (and a variety of PSF staff) faithfully promised I would eventually see....

...I've been retired ten years and am still waiting.

"Don't fall for the 'it'll get sorted in time' line -"

I should have listened Dave, just found out not only am I not getting my money back at the end this month, but they are gonna take another £400 off me.

most annoying thing is they agree I dont owe them any money :ugh:

Good savings plan I suppose.

Now I am confused fella.
Something similar happened to me on this faceless-cr@p system. If they keep fobbing you off with "it's a unit" problem can't your cashier in PSF- sorry HR dept advance you the cash as they did with me?
Presumably if they agree that you don'y owe them then you will get it all back at some point so the cashier should be able to cover it.
Sorry if I am wide of the mark or misunderstood and I really do understand you angst with this bo**ocks system they forced on us.

If they don't pay you what you're owed in terms of salary, they're opening themselves up for a constructive dismissal case.

There is a very simple and straight forward solution to this:

You write a letter to AFPAA and send it guaranteed next day delivery. Copy it to every man and his dog, including the S of S for defence, CAS, AOC, Staish, Sqn cdr etc and your MP of course.

In it, point out what has happened, together with evidential proof you may have and tell them that you will give them 7 days (not 21 or anything like it) but 7 days only to return the money in full, into your account, after which you will take legal action against the S of S.

Explain that once the money is back in your account, you will return to full duty, but until then you will be at home.

Then sit back, get yourself a beer and watch the minnions run around like headless chickens. Things will move so very fast, they will be a blur!

Good luck

When I was leaving in 1994, we all attended a finance road show from MoD.

We were told that it was possible that our terminal grants & redundancy payments might be paid late.

I stood up and asked them why, it was some financial yukkspeak like they couldn't process the paperwork in time (they had several month's notice).

I told them that I would be charging Bank Base Rate plus 3% for every day it was late. This statement was picked up by the hundred or so leavers.

Needless to say we were paid on time. It CAN be done, you just have to be prepared to play 'hard ball' and carry it through.

Best of luck guys.
