Can any staff from Lgw ATC enlighten me on traffic seen passing over gatwick this morning, was at about 06:55 and heading in an easterly direction at altitude, was just wondering can traffic still operate over lgw,as i thought blanket closure meant no aircraft, unless i suppose there might be some form of dispensation ,did look like two contrails ejected from engines, but was very high and sunlight made it awkward too see clearly.

Just a thought.

Cheers guys.

Try the above link. Probably won't help with your specific enquiry, as it's now long gone. However you won't need to bother the busy guys n gals if you can look the answer up directly:ok:

Airspace is open above 20,000ft. There have been a few Lufthansa flights positioning to the states apparantly.
