They claim 50m so far, we'll see if this cost plays into the pay review for this year. EK is affected for sure, but how much are other airlines losing? BA, KLM, AF, Virgin and the other Euopean carriers are losing much more I would suspect...

How would you really know how much it costs? Why would anyone believe a thing they say? I laugh at them.

Eh guys, if you are stuck outstation, at home or in holidays, why would you rush trying to get back to DXB, using jumpseats or what ?
They did cancel travel ALT and CAT C (of course standby tickets would have been a strange idea those days, I agree) so stay where you are, don't abandon your family, and lets' wait and see... revision of this will come sooner than expected !

will be on the 25th and not before. Have a read of the broadcast again. don't disagree with the idea or the reason, wording could have been a bit nicer tho

Hey "bridgeclimb,"

I guess you didn't have any annual leave, hotel reservations or any non refundable deposits scheduled during that time. You agree with the idea...typical first post from a management plant.

Just a quick question, do they allow to travel in jump seats or not?, I think that if they needed to bring back all stranded colleagues then they could have allow it.
