If you're UK based try getting in touch with the chap who runs/owns Cromer International Airport:

There are any number of possibilities for disabled people to fly in the UK. The CAA are much more open about aircraft adaptions and medical issues than they used to be, and thus many more people are flying. I've personally been flying since 1989 in both microlights and light aircraft all done since I was paralysed in 1985.

THere is a registered charity in the UK called Aviation for Paraplegics and Tetraplegics (http://www.av-para-tetra.demon.co.uk) that teaches the disabled to fly, based at Old Sarum. Old Sarum flying club (01722 322525) also have a PA28-161 Warrior fitted with a hand rudder conversion for disabled people.

If you wish to have any more info. drop me an email and we can explore the possibilities further.

Cheers

It may be possible for you to fly it depends on the nature and severity of disability. The best people who can offer advice are the British Disabled Flying Club details can be found at http://www.fly.to/bdfc they have flying days to enable disabled people taste flying and talk to others in a simular position who have gained their licence.
You will however find gaining your licence much more of a slog because of all the extra medical tests you will have to take to prove to the authorities that you can be safe. Dont think you cant fly just yet there is at least one person in a wheelchair who has a commercial licence. Good luck whatever you decide.
