Hi all,

I have my very first medical next week, a Class 2 and I'm dreading it  Anyway hopefully if I pass it, I will be going for my Class 1 later in the year, probably around October some time. My question is, will I have to take all the tests that I did in the Class 2 again or will I simply have to do just the things that are different between the two medicals?

Thanks,
All the best,

In the UK the first time you take a Class 1 has to be done at Gatwick where they will give you a complete and thorough check including ECG and EEG. The worst bit is the £400 fee but you have to do this if you intend doing anything beyond the PPL ratings.

Good luck, it's not as bad as it sounds. :)
