JAA Medical lapsing [Archive]

Hi,

My Class 2 medical is up for renewal next March, however I'm not going to be around to get it renewed in time (or early). Is it possible to get it renewed a couple of weeks after it expires without having to go through another initial? I realise that while it has lapsed, I can no longer fly on my JAA licence.....

Is that because you are going to be in the USA??...or somewhere even more tricky??

You are aware that there are places in the USA that can do your medical renewal?

HI, Yep I'm in the US...didn't realise I could get the JAA medical in the US ! Anywhere near Long Beach...??
