Hello, I'm writing from Italy.

I went in Gatwick for an initial class one certification. Everything was fine except color vision. I was assested unsafe because I did fail the Holmes Wright lanterntest.

Italy has less stringent standard about color vision. I'm trying to figure out what is the name of the test they make you when you fail ishiara. I will post it as soon as I can.

In the meanwhile I'm interesting in hearing other stories of people in my same condition.

As ishiara PIP plates are a lot sensitive, and some people might not pass them, there are some other tests which should be taken alternatively according to JAR-FCL 3.225.

I'm referring to Nagel Anomaloscope and Baynes or Spectrolux Lantern tests, which I did not take at Gatwick.
I was not even told that I could try to attend those tests...

Does anybody know how are those test compared to Holmes Wright ? Are those easier or more difficoult ?

Thanks for your eventual assistence.

Pete,
Italy.
