So I have my PPL, I have my Class 1, now I'm looking at studying for the ATPL exams, but where? Well, I looked into it a couple of months ago and thought that distance learning through Bristol GS was the way to go but now that I have the funds to actually start, my heart is telling me that DL is not the best option for me; I need a classroom situation. Now I know Oxford gets a bad rap around here (and probably rightly so) but if I were to only use them for studying for the ATPLs, would people be more likely to say "fair enough" given that I wouldn't be doing any actual flying with them? Needless to say, their prices are still far above their competitors but are their classroom facilities and ground school instructors even remotely superior? What about everything else that goes into studying at a teaching facility such as accommodation, staff friendliness etc. etc.? And before I get the standard reply... yes, I have searched the forum.
