Wondering if anyone could post the name and location of a good place to buy yachting equipment in Hong Kong (blocks, winch handles, rope jammers etc). Prices for general equipment in AUS are so expensive.

They aren't cheap here. Low demand and low volume pushes up the price. generally, boat equipment is about the same price as in the UK as even though there is no GST in HK, the cost of transport bumps it up. I recently go an Aussie mate to bring me a block back from Sydney as it was cheaper!

But go and have a look at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club's ship store. Some nice club branded items at a good price. Get there by walking through the tunnel going to the Noonday Gun from the Excelsior Hotel, or taking a taxi. All the drivers understand "Yacht Club".

Does anyone know if there is a Swan dealer in HK ?
