Loving the detail on the attached foto. Genuine question to any 777 drivers out there - what do all the buttons on the left had side do? And, is the "777" steel coverplate only there for aesthetics or does it actually conceal anything or serve any purpose??

It all looks a bit more complicated than my Toyota steering wheel.

Switches are for the trim ( stab position ) you have to actuate both together ....push both forward and you get nose down trim, and vice versa. dual switches to stop possibility of stuck contacts. Other push button switch is autopilot disconnect. Hidden from view is the intercom / radio PTT switch behind the hand grips.

777 plate is a spring clip which holds approach plates / charts when required.
