Hi
I've potentially been offered some work flying an N registered Socata TBM 850 around Europe. I have an FAA PPL with SE/IR. I also have a UK issued JAR CPL with SE AND ME/IR. I obviously cannot undertake payed work on my FAA licence so I would like to know If there is some way I can operate the aircraft on my JAR licence and if this is possible then would I need to get a single engine type rating??
I'd be grateful for any advice

The short answer is no, there is no way you can work on an FAA PPL. Your JAR CPL does not come into it on commercial ops on an N reg.

The answer unless you are an employee of the owner and not employed by the owner as a pilot is NO.

Your other option would be to get the owner to put the aircraft on the IOM register where both licence types are acceptable. That will depend on how much he wants you to fly for him.

Finally get an FAA CPL added to your FAA PPL IR.
