Emirates 13th A380 (MSN042) performed it's first taxi tests yesterday and will perform an RTO today. First flight is expected by the end of the week.

Emirates 13th A380 (MSN042) finally performed it's Rejected Take Off test on Friday.

First flight will be on Tuesday.

any idea if this is the A380 that is due to operate the DXB - MAN route starting september time?

Particular aircraft are not assigned particular routes. Any aircraft in the fleet that is in the appropriate configuration (EK have two A380 configs- 480 Pax with crew rest and 520ish without) and any in the higher pax number configuration might opperate to MAN on any particular day.
