A cautionary tail and suitably edited after possible professsional advice to moderate one's tones and tunes.
Well, another incident would be in keeping with the fashion trend that a reading of all the many newspaper and CAA reports about the several so called incidents and an accident or two that they have apparently had, might lead some gullible readers to think in a silly moment that they have established. It seems so long since the last time one read about their little mishaps.We must however, in case of a new one, just, ah the expression is, chalk it up to bad luck. The CAA will fix it for them.

Wowsers, the SA CAA is so very wonderful in the way that they can fix the problems of their airlines. Is that not what CAAs are for, to support the cottage industry and to reward industrious local managment?
Me? to be guilty? Thank you for the compliment. I shall not be seeing my lawyer in spite of the fact that I am not quite so sure that I want to be linked in the same breath to the poor bad luck Airlink.
By the way, I haf never been turned down by them as a chief pilot.

not much said about this one - I'm bored with this thread already! It seems pprune is slowing down too... it's like watching a soapy - you can skip a few weeks of reading, and still see the same titles on the main page when you return.:zzz:

Is this a reflection of the aviation industry - slowing down too?? No news - perhaps that is good news (no gossip out there), a sign that things are working like clockwork, going well. I hope this is the case!

I've been reading through the "you know you're in Africa when..." stories! really excellent...

Fact, did happen, just after 7am yesterday, heard them on radar using registration as callsign (PYM-Bae 146), shortly after take off declared an emergency saying number 3 engine on fire, must have being training or something, only 3 crew on board, (Ha ha! If it was training Airlink have certainly raised the realism factor), radar vectored back to to 03L for landing, saw them taxing towards Mike Apron just after we landed with fire truck in tow.

Glad things turned out OK, Airlink can ill afford more negative publicity, well done to the crew, handled it well by the sounds of it.

Well now that is extra ordinary.
If it is all bad luck poor thing when things all go the pear shaped way then surely and by he same turn of Loki's spoon it must have been just good fortune that a potential problem of little significance in a four engine jet was dealt with without catastrophy?
As for boredom? Boring it is for those who are bored to say so without making any contribution to alleviate the boredom of others who read their boring words. Chuck in something witty or entertaining in to the pot instead of sitting on the side lines whingeing perhaps is an idea even if your English is not so good?

Could have been a test flight? Non the less - I'm also glad nothing negative came out of this one.
