AC433 flight lands without incident. This morning, AC 433 flying between Montreal and Toronto landed without incident in Toronto at 9:08 a.m. After landing, a hydraulic problem with the nose wheel steering system prevented the aircraft from taxiing to the gate under its own power. Due to a report of possible smoke in the passenger cabin after landing (which was likely oil mist from the hydraulic system malfunction), the aircraft was evacuated as a precautionary measure only. The crew followed normal procedures and deployed chutes to evacuate the aircraft. Ground transportation was immediately dispatched to meet the aircraft and take care of passengers. Passengers are being taken care of by our staff to look after their travel needs, and many passengers are already under way to make their onward connections to proceed with their travel plans There were 99 passengers and six crew onboard the Airbus 320.
