I'm looking for fields in Nigeria with avgas - are there any with constant supply?

Alternatively, does anyone know which company might be able to deliver in advance to an airfield?

Thanks, Sam.

I can go wherever there is fuel, so I'm looking to base my route around that factor!

Are there any Nigerian airfields with a good reputation for avgas?

Thanks, Sam.

Avgas is not common in Nigeria.

never seen a piston engine here, maybe in North (Zaria), the flight school is the only place where you can find piston engines as far as I know

Thanks for the Zaria location - that's perfect.

Now, I just need one in the south of the country - any ideas?

Safe flights, Sam.

It is available anywhere you want it at $5.00/gallon plus shipping....

Okay, so that's 'probables' for Port Harcourt and Zaria - does anyone know for sure?

Thanks, Sam.

PS I'm researching elsewhere as well, I'll post my findings here.

Okay, I have a supplier for avgas at Port Harcourt (USD5.80/litre!).

Anyone able to confirm that Zaria has avgas?

Thanks, Sam.

Zaria is a Training Center and most of the time they a lean on AVGAS i would not plan Zaria if i where you Try Cotonou in Benin Republic if you are Overflying or arrange for it to be shipped to an Airport of Choice

As stated earlier the only consumer of avgas is NCAT ZARIA.Their supply is also imported so I suggest you contact them to find out if they can help arrange some fuel for you for a hefty price. There is also a start up school at Illorin which might have avgas as well.

As for the south the only way is to arrange a special delivery with the oil companies e.g conoil,Sahara. It all depends on how much you want to spend, you can get avgas delivered to any airport you wish.

Sam, try mailing Steve Dawha at Sahara Oil, by Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, ([email protected]), he has supplied avgas to other people passing across Nigeria.
