Ocean Airlines B747-200 originally registered as I-OCEA has been languishing in Almaty Kazakhstan for last 18 months or so, has departed within last few days. Has spent 2 winters outside Anyone know its current whereabouts and if its still on I register ? Am sure Tech Log is full of all the Storage checks done !

As far as I know, my friend, EA has joined his fellow brothers EU and the french twins in a small airport south of Paris, were they all will be slashed in the next months, unless someone will try to bring them back to life.
No words for such a shame.

interesting and if true why would someone fly an aircraft for 6 hrs minimum to a boneyard. What kind of organisation flies a large widebody aircraft across Europe in such a condition ?
