Hoping to visit Paris sometime this year can anyone tell me what the viewing facilities are like at CDG?

Its a big place.....so no help here on that score.

However the Musee d' air at Le Bourget is not to be missed.

Unless there has been changes ln the last 12 Months there are positions
to photograph covering most Runways and a Central location.

Its a bit complicated to go into all the routes/locations etc.

Note well, the Local spotters have an arrangement with the Airport
security people.

They have a recognised "Group" called" Kerozen" which is the only group cleared to photograph at CDG.You can join at a reasonable cost per year.

This is advisable especially at the central location called Zone Technique ,by the Met Office car park. Ladders are allowd BUT only three steps high, which clears the fence at Zone Technique. Overlooks main Ramp and faces the North runways, about mid point and very close to taxi way . Best here with an East wind.

Security is very visable with Police/army patrols.

There are some locations on the "Approaches" which are outside of the actual Airport boundary. Normally not patrolled.
