Thought I would get the ball rolling with a jumpseat question.

I am flying with "GO" in september to Malaga. Is there anybody out there who might be able to say if there is a way I can arrange in advance a jumpseat ride for takeoff and landing ?

I have riden the jumpseat before and it was an amazing experiance, but it seems to be a lottery as to whether I will be the first person to ask or if it will even be allowed.

Also, is there any contact numbers for airlines where I could pay an admin fee to ride a jumpseat for a trip out to europe and back. Not to actually visit the country, but simply to experiance a "full flight" from the third seat for two legs.

Any info advice will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Am about to take my PPL. Can't wait !

http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/Forum1/HTML/006960.html from a few weeks ago had some useful suggestions. A search for jumpseat also brings up some interesting threads from earlier this year. God luck

Just a liitle reminder for jumpseat riders -
It isn't a great idea to tap the skipper on the shoulder at 50ft and say "Ay, pilot, dost tha know where tha's goin', then?"

Happened to me - honest! http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/eek.gif
