Piper Meridian multi-pilot?

Hi there,
I know that the Piper Meridian is single pilot airplane, but in some IFR conditions the co-pilot can be useful... so my question is - is there any way how the pilot on right seat can log flight hours while the Meridian is officially SP? If so, is necessary to have MCC?

Best speak with your Flight Ops Inspector.
I fly the CJ2 which is SP, however if it is approved in your ops manual for Multi Pilot Operations, then you might have a chance.
However again, not sure a single engine aircraft would be approved on an AOC for PT...

You cannot log the hours as it is SPA. At a push you may decide to put the hours in the P2 column but in the remarks put 'flight navigating' and 'radio operating' for your roles, however that is verging on the slightly cheeky and i'm not convinced you'd get away with it.

Unless i'm totally mistaken and your flights ops use the Meridian as an MPA, doubt it though.

yeah, in our flight ops will be notice for two pilots during IFR flights. It would be something similiar as commercial flights on Beech 200 (which could be operated SPA as well).

If you are in the FAA system there is a way to log multi pilot hours in any aircraft (there is a way you can even legally both log P1).
