I'm going to conversion training from the Bus to the 777. Does anyone have a FMS trainer for your laptop? I know how nice the IPT is but its always booked.

They seem hard to come by. I would suggest going up to the 5th floor library and borrowing the B744 one. Not 100% the same, but it is very similar and will go a long way to get a good understanding of how it works.

Remember seeing a room with fms trainers in it at CX City. Not sure if they are 777 or if it is in my imagination and there is no such room. Sorry for being so vague but maybe worth asking a training guy if such a room exists and if it is the 777 ones.

Hi, check this link:

Just Flight - Product page for 777 Professional (Boxed) (http://www.justflight.com/product.asp?pid=120#)
Its a B777 add-on for MS flight simulator. The FMS functions.

Herndon33,

I have a few on my computer but have no idea how to send you one. The file is also waaay too big anyway. I can tell you that American Airlines produced a good one, but it only allows simulated flights to / from US cities. No really a hassle.

I actually asked a good friend of mine (senior CX 777 Base Capt) for a copy that may work on a Mac to save playing with "Parallels". He advised me that he may be able to get the CD's from CX City, ie training dept offices. That may be your best bet. (Shhhh!)

Also, try to get some computer geek to install it for you. It can be quite tricky if one thing doesn't link into another, as you may have experienced on the CBT if you have on eon your computer.

Also, be aware that different aircraft or airlines may have different AIMS software versions that can and will do slightly different things (fix page, VNAV stability.....)

Good luck with your conversion.

I know this is an old thread, but has anyone had any luck in getting their hands on the 777 FMC trainer? I've heard good things about the American Airlines one as well...
