Taking your other posts into account, I am guessing you are flying on the NCL-RHO-NCL in the summer? If so, the following will apply.

That flight (WED 0700L) is operated on a Boeing 757-200, which is leased from FINNAIR. Either one of OH-LBR/LBT/LBO/LBS/LBU. The aircraft based in NCL changes each month, so it could be any one of the fleet.

Flightdeck are FINNAIR guys and girls. Cabin Crew are AIR SCANDIC, based NCL.

The aircraft are in good condition, having 227 seats (less than the other charter operators) and full IFE (Inflight Entertainment).

Standard charter services offered with Headset Purchase/Bar and Confectionery/Meal/Hot Drinks.. .Film is shown on this route.

Generally an excellent punctuality record, and very few tech problems. Infact, probably the healthiest 757 operator at NCL last summer.

If I have misjudged, and you are not flying ex NCL, then let me know and I will assist further.

cheers,

I have just got back from a trip with Air Scandic and I have to say that it was the worst airline experience I have ever had!!:mad:

The trip outbound from Stansted to Crete was over 13 hours late departing Stansted which did not impress me or my family, they then managed to lose an item of our luggage so that when we arrived at Heraklion at 04:30 in the morning we no car seat for my baby and the airport was deserted and no one could help us track down our missing car seat.

The aircraft was an MD-83 operated by Viking Airlines, the seat pitch could only be described as crippling for 4 hours.

Our tickets were booked through Airtours and like most passengers on board we payed for an inflight meal both ways but we were informed by Air Scandic cabin crew that Air Scandic have not been paid for inflight meals by the tour operator and if we wanted food we can purchase sandwiches from them but they had already sold them on the previous flight:{

My advice would be to avoid Air SCandic if you have a choice

I flew Air Scandic from Manchester a few years back and somehow managed to get the same seat out and back, needless to say the rubbish that had accidentally fallen in to the seat back pocket on the way out was still there as I returned home!!!

When this thread was originally posted, I was still in short trousers.

For what it's worth (about nine bob in old money), I flew back with Air Scandic from Cyprus last October.

I was on a staff standby ticket, and was due to fly back with AMM/DP,but I couldn't get on. I was taken in by the charitable souls at Excel. The Excel jet was also fully booked but luckily for me it went tech, and the Air Scandic was brought in. I think it was a 767 or a 330. I really didn't notice, as I was too tired to care. One thing I do remember was that the ship had Finnair logos all over the place.

No complaints about the flight, except, I had been given three exit seats to myself by a flirty cypriot check-in chic. After the flight took off, a big FAT couple moved in, grrrrrrrrr.

Crew seemed nice enough, and were Brits.

:ok:
