Not quite correct.

Base salary came to about 3600 EUR, add sector pay. Net has been around 6800 to 7300 a month.

Peanuts paid. The monkeys are stirring!

Which airline is this? I'll make a note not to fly with them.

ASFKAP

Quite correct. For everyone applying, equally many of those working in these companies are looking to leave.

Welcome to the real world! And you don't need to look too far to find similar conditions under the flag carriers umbrella in Europe. I'll reach €5500 pm month after 6 years LHS!

But it's a great deal more than I would get on the dole.

It's all about supply and demand. And at the moment we are barely a scarce commodity. My twopenneth - if you are young enough, get out, if not be happy with what you have.

I know that we are employing Contract Captains for the summer through CTC. I am not sure if they will stay, or if they are paid that low.....

The industry is going the wrong direction:bored::eek:

It is called Globalization at work. We are going to see one of the many faces of Capitalism turning ugly and out of control.

The Low costs in Europe have exported the model to emerging countries, and they are turning against their employees to make more profits.

Just look at how Easy and Ryanair hire most of their F/Os.( They no longer hire experienced pilots who claim a decent wage), worse when the SSTR pilots reach a proficient level and start earning reasonable wages, these companies start fighting them to leave for better and more satisfying jobs.

When LCCs in countries like China, India, Malaysia and Indonesia ( amongst the few) mature and start having excesses of manpower, we will see some new lows being set.

Wages advertised now are an introduction of what is lying ahead.

What is the name of the airline. Can't be Go, Jet, or Spice. Forget about Kingfisher as they are slowly fading into the sunset.
