View Full Version : Which aeroplanes?

I thought I may as well kill two birds with one stone here, so I have two questions;

Does anybody know which 737 RyanAir operate between STN and Genoa? Just wondering because I fly out and back this Sunday - and there is quite a difference between those old -200's and the new -800's!

Also, same question for Delta between LHR and JFK? I assume this is a 744, but that is more of a logical guess than knowledge.

Many thanks!

The morning flight to Genoa should be a B738. The afternoon service is a B732 except saturday when it's also a B738.

Delta do not operate LHR-JFK nor do they have B747s. I believe they operate LGW-ATL 3x daily with L1011, B767 and B777 and 1x daily to CVG with B777.

BRUpax,

Many thanks. I'm pleased about my Genoa flight. (I am on the early morning flight)

W.R.T. the information you gave me about Delta, I'm sure you are right if thats what you are saying. It's a school trip I'm going on, and the teacher said he thought we were flying with Delta - but apparently not! (I am sure it's LHR - JFK)

Man-on-the-fence,

3 daily DL Flights LGW-ATL

DL0011 1100 B777
DL0059 1155 MD11
DL0019 1335 B763

I've just enjoyed the Delta triple-seven between JFK and CDG and must say that it's very nice indeed.

TPuk,

The only 747s ever operated by DL were a bunch of 747-100 in the early 70'. As my compatriot BRUpax told you, they even don't fly to LHR. Maybe on codeshare, but doubtful.

Tpuk,

The only operators with rights to fly to LHR from the US are British Airways, Virgin, American Airlines and United Airlines.

It has to be one of these and none have codeshare agreements with Delta.

The Delta Website is showing DL0059 as being with a B777-200.

Have they just swapped or do you have the better info (that wouldnt surprise me ;) )

You're right, they've swapped to the 777 from 1st of October.

JamesG, all Pisa flights are in principle operated by the 800 series. However, a 200 could always be substituted for "operational" reasons.

Thanks for the info - although I prefer the 738, I have found Ryanair generally a pleasant experience - in fact, with more pleasant and helpful crew than some higher profile carriers.
