Brisbane's first Aviation high school has been opened near the airport this morning.

The school at Hendra is part of the Federal Government's trade training initiative.

Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard says students will be taught specific skills to lead into careers in aviation.

"What this facility is offering is enabling students here to pursue their dreams of a career in aviation," she said.

"It's enabling them to get trade certificates, which are the pathway to a job."

Nice
They should of done that in other countries ( especially in bahrain!! ) that have aviation training schools aswell instead of studying something that has nothing to do with aviation in highschool then going onto aviation at college with no previous background whatsoever and the result is the students encounter a big deal of difficulty at college to pick up on aviation .
