Achalasia cardiae is easaly treated by endoscopic balloon dilatations single or repeted sessions. The results is good och about 90% of treated patients are asymtomatic :ok:

I've been advised they are really dangerous due to possibility of perferations.

Surgeon says he has had to repair lots of badly performed "balloon" procedures and its really not nice.

So its proposed I have the "valve" cut and the stomach wrapped around it to form a new valve - not sure of technical names for these procedures.

Any thoughts.
