Does anybody have any experience with these boots. The whole concept of wing boots on a jet that fly's FL450 is somewhat strange to me.

What are the operational limits (temp) and do they clean the wing good?

Just to clarify, this is the standard boots on the G200 (or G150 for that matter) just that they are silver painted to look like hotwings.

So any boots on any gulfstream experience (or even the older IAI Astra and Galaxy) let me know.

The boots work, yes why boots on a jet but they work ok. You just need to maintain them and follow afm limitations. Operationally the engine setting required for use make your approaches interesting.

What do you think about with operational settings?

In their own discription of the system gulfstream writes Wing De-ice systems, i.e. boots, require vacuum and pressure sources, a timer, drain, and selector valves. Since very little flow is required, existing sources can be used (e.g. cabin outflow valve vacuum).

It's just that the whole gulfstream story sounds to good to be true.
