[Puts on anorak and opens pax flight log]

For the year 2000 only:

64 rotations
15 carriers
16 types
116 hours and 43 minutes flight time (not block time).

Pity I didn't keep a record of the time I waited, seated in aircraft, for an "improved" slot!

Anorak question: If one flies on the different variants of a particular type (e.g. B732, B733, B734, etc.) do they qualify as different types? If not, what about generations (e.g. B731/2 v B733/4/5 v B736/7/8?

I know, no need to tell me, I'm a sad case. Take me away and lock me up http://www.pprune.org/ubb/NonCGI/redface.gif

Don't ever let anyone put you down because you keep a log book I do too, and rest assured it will provide you with countless memories of interesting and 'hairy' flights, as well as drunken nightstops and who were your partners in crime throwing the hotel furniture out over the balcony, and sunloungers into the pool ( complete with crew members still lying there), for many years to come!

And yes you should count B737-200/300/400/500/600/700/800/900s etc as seperate types if you are a true anorak.

Happy flying and logging mate!

My lifetime total 124 A/c types not counting sub types. All flights were paid for except two!
Done most things from light singles to airliners and played five a side football in a Polish Air Force An12!

I only managed 17 airports and 8 countries this year.

Total types 86, from Tiger Moth to Concorde.

Love the five-a-side game in the An-12.

Longest sector: SIN-LHR 13 hours 26 mins (flight time).

Shortest commercial sector: FLL-MIA 9 mins in an Eastern DC-9 (1976).

Total recorded flights to date: 1399. I did make another 20+ unrecorded flights prior to starting my pax log.

Greeting and a Very Happy, successful and safe New Year from The Sleeping Pax!

My Stats for the Year 2000 are
4 Continents
57 Flights
9 Aircraft types
19 Carriers

To all the Flight crews, Cabin crews and others involved in my travels, my most sincere thanks.
I was late 5 or 6 times.
Arrived ahead of schedule quite often which pleases me more.
Diverted once.
Up-graded 3 Times.
Best Flight of the Year?
Sydney-Bangkok on BA. Good food, good wine. The crew let me sleep in one of the most comfortable seats I've sat in. Woken up by the crew 45mins before landing, and chatted briefly about where to go in BKK! and upon leaving, being given a chilled bottle of Wine and Champagne. Now! if all filights were like that.
Cheers.
