A girlfriend and I are "being allowed out ot play" for a weekend in Paris next month. Does anyone know the best (cheap) places to go to eat and apart from the usual touristy bits, the best places to see?

For the more unusual bits try the sewer museum and the catacombs, also for a good view of the Eiffel Tower, go to the entrance of the Maritime Museum.

Wife of - to eat have a look at "La Taverne de Sergent Recruteur", 41 Rue St Louis en L'Isle - lots of character, buzzing with locals and tourists, reasonably priced menu food simple and good - 1st went there 15 years ago and it hasn't changed much.
