Lost my sound output????

Hi everybody, for some reason the speakers have stopped working on our pc,

They appear to be getting power as the green led is lit on both speakers and the volume on the speaker is turned on,

Any ideas guys.

Double click on the speaker on your task bar and see if mute is ticked.

It would help if you at least mentioned the OS!

Sorry its XP, cant see a speaker symbol on the task bar anywhere else to look.
