Back in august 2006 a friend got a Sony Vaio media centre, it combined a PC, TV & DVD all in the same box, just right for a small flat. The whole package was compact and looked neat.

The whole thing has been nothing but trouble, with erattic TV, and a DVD player that wont make any sound and the picture is jerky.

About the only thing that works is the PC side of things, so far Sony have been totaly reluctent to help with no product support what so ever, we have tried email and snail mail, I don't see why we should have to resort to the premium rate phone calls to fix a product that has never worked properly.

What I would like to know if this is just a bad box that we have ? or are they all like this? and is Sony product support always just like talking to a brick wall?

I was always a bit of a fan of Sony kit but this trouble has left me thinking that I would never touch another Sony product as long as I live due to the utter contempt that they seem to show for people who buy Sony products.
