Runnymede Memorial

Does anyone know if the RCAF/CAF hold a memorial service at Runnymede? If they do, when is the next one?

Not entirely Canadian-specific, but there's a Foreign and Commonwealth memorial day in early may when a load of top brass and diplomats come down from the embassies to pay their respects.

It's usually the Sunday closest to VE-Day (for obvious reasons, rather than VJ-Day).

The title of the place "Commonwealth Air Forces Memorial says it really. The event covers all the nations of the Commonwealth who had air forces serving with the European Theatre and hence is not specific to Canada.

I think you might find that some Canadians (particularly ex-6 Gp) tend to concentrate their activities around the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington, again for obvious historical reasons.
