Hi all.

Can anyone help me identify the Jetstream fuselage in the grounds of Ystrad Mynach College in South Wales.

Many thanks,
Ian

Sure you don't mean Treforest?

Plane lands on Campus, Faculty of Advanced Technology (http://fat.glam.ac.uk/news/en/2009/dec/14/plane-lands-campus/)

Wasn't aware there was an aircraft at YM....

Can be seen from ground above the back of the college.
Has smart black 'Ystrad Mynach Airways' titles on it!

Looks like there are two of them then! The one in YM on Google Earth looks too long for a 31/32. Can't find the one at Treforest on Google Earth, but it may well post date the Google satellite pass....

Stumped. Next time I am back in the UK, I may take a wander past to satisfy my curiousity as well...

You'll not find the plane at Trefforest on Google Earth. We've only had it here since just before Christmas, and I doubt the satellites map the valleys that frequently!

If anyone's interested (I'm a student at Glam) - it's still sat outside covered in a tarp, missing its wings. The 'hangar' is almost complete - the plane is due to be moved in just after Easter I believe

The aircraft in question is cn 690 G-JXTC (never carried), formally the Tulip Air PH-KJG, which was roaded from Eindhoven via Rotterdam.

The information above was courtesy of the recently refreshed Air-Britain News magazine (see Welcome to Air-Britain (http://www.air-britain.com/))

I have also found the following website link which shows the aircrafts "arrival":) in Wales

Glamorgan SU University Students Union - The Home for Glamorgan SU University Students (http://www.glamsu.com/construction/news/index.php?page=article&news_id=116333)

Hi Dabchick,

I work at The College and have only now been able to find out the information you required. I know nothing about planes but know that the jetstream in question is -

Jetstream 41 EMU (based on Jetstream 200 G-ATXJ) (I know this from http://cardiffstathan.********.com/2010/03/boards-tuesday-02032010.html)
It arrived at The College in November 2002 from Cardiff Airport and is used by our Air Cabin Crew students and previously by our Aerospace students.

Hope that helps

Matt
