Hi while in T1 at MAN today I saw on the Arr/Dep Boards details of a flight from MAN to Dublin by Aer Arran.:D:D

Are they flying to DUB or are my hopes of

Not needing an extortionately priced passport for my partner in the hopes of a decent (ish) fare on Ryanair to DUB?

Not having to pay an even more extortionate fare on Aer Lingus to avoid buying the above passport about to be dashed:{:{?

Or was it just a one off or codeshare flight?

I cant find any details of it on Aer Arran's website.

Thanks.

They do regular football fan charters from Ireland.... maybe it was that?

And occasionally, their flights do depart from different airports in Ireland due to w/x. I know we've had to travel to SNN by road when our a/c couldn't land in GWY in the past.

Yeah maybe it was that boo!

Oh well you never know, they might decide to fill the gap torn by Ryanair and start flights.:}

Or someone else more sensible.

A more "extortionate" fare on Aer Lingus?

A quick check of a random date in February...

-MAN-DUB early morning departure
-1 bag checked in
-No insurance or extras

Ryanair........29.99 GBP
Aer Lingus....32.99 GBP

I'd hardly call that an extortionate fare for either.

For an extra 3 pounds, I know which one I'd be flying with anyway.
