hello to everyone,
am an aeronautical engineer degree graduate from india. i just want to know whether this degree alone is enough to fetch a job or do i need any experience? i have an option to get GCAA license by working as technician there in emirates.. is it possible to do this and all... pls kindly help me by giving ur valuable suggestions...

Ok, to help you with your choice, getting a hands on engineering job is not always easy without hands on time, yes I know that it is hard but that is unfortunately the way of the industry.

Two points here, if you have a degree in engineering why do you want to become a licensed engineer? That aside, if you do want to become a licensed engineer then the UAE probably offers you a good opportunity to do that, however you suggest that you may want to sit the GCAA exams... sorry to be a party pooper here but you need to be over 18 years old, guess you tick that one... and have several years experience on aircraft before you can take the exams, unless you have done a GCAA recognized apprenticeship.... look up the GCAA website and download yourself CAAP 28 (Civil Aviation Advisory Publication (CAAP) (http://www.gcaa.ae/en/ePublication/Pages/CAAP.aspx)), also look at CAR-Part II section 7(Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs) (http://www.gcaa.ae/en/ePublication/Pages/CARs.aspx?CertID=CARs))... these detail the requirements for becoming a GCAA licensed engineer.

Yes i want to get a license with a degree. Am sure with it.so can u pls tell me whether i can be able to get a job in emirates as technician wit my degree and after gaining some years of experience i ll apply for GCAA license. So pls assist me. Thanks.
