KLM is to retire its last F50 aircraft with the end of the Winter schedule, on March 28; the airline has operated up to 15 of the type over the years, on short haul commuter flights. The retirement of the KLM fleet leaves VLM as the largest operator of the type in Europe.

KLM still operates the F70/100, but with the Embraer jets now in operation and the fleet growing, it's probably only a matter of time before these are retired too, which will be a sad moment for Dutch aviation, since it will be the last retirement by a Dutch airline of a Dutch built aircraft.
