Hello dear fellow pilots.....I would really appreciate any information about Airbus 300-600 (2 man crew) type rating school in USA........

Really appreciate ANY advice. We need to be doing the training in USA as our airplane is N reg.

Thanks and safe landing to all.......

The B4 is a different plane than the -600.

See if AA has a couple of A300-600 sims left, perhaps they will run a class.

A300B4 Type does not cover the A300-600, even Airbus Miami does not have a -600 SIM, training program or qualified instructors.

Yes, the last few posters are correct as the model variants differ with three vs two man crews.

Here is an old link:

You will have to Google this link.

Look for an A310 sim. The A310 is the type designator for the A300-600. If you get typed in the -310 it is good for the -300-600.

The lufthansa sim in Frankfurt is probably the best A300 sim in Europe.I am sure they will either have or could obtain FAA approval.

Try FEDEX in MEM. Did mine there in 1995.

Which company are you going to work for?

CAE in Montreal has an A310 used regularly by Air Transat and others. You might want to check with them to see if it's FAA certified. Give them a call @ 514-341-6780
As far as I know, CAE do not provide A310 Type Ratings but they may be able to find a qualified program in their system that a contract instructor can deliver.
Lots more questions I'm afraid but you can easily direct them to CAE.

Good luck.
Willie :ok:

P.S. Type Ratings issued by the FAA are A300 (for the B4) and A310 (for the 600)

Thank you very much for the great info....I will try to call them..But are you sure about the FAA giving the B4 on A300 and A310 ofor 600? This is an issue as we may be going to AA for training.....just to rent their sim not train by them....

Fishbath

A300 B2 or B4 = 3 Crew (Capt + F/O + Flight Engineer)
A300-600 or A310 = 2 Crew (Captain + F/O)

Therefore, there is a Type Rating for: A300 B4
and there is a Type Rating for: A310/A300-600

You just have to find out exactly which is the aircraft type that TMA is receiving
but, from your first post, it seems to be an A300-600 as you say 2 man Crew.

Hope this helps to clarify your doubts!!!

Check your PM.
