Australian Aviation career a School Leaver?

G'day all,

Well I am nearly 17 and I completed year 10.
I have a tremendous interests in Aviation, But I can't seem to find any organisation that has any vancancies (Apprenticeships etc etc). I have been thinking about the Australian Defence Force, But I don't want to be tied down just yet.

Can you PLEASE help myself try to find any career in the Aviation business in Australia, preferbly the NSW area, If a good opportunity is in another state I will go!

A different question are they any Sponserships to try to help finance to get your SPL??

would you mind elaborating on wht you mean that all the doors are shut in oz? do u mean that one can't get sponsorship? or that even doing cpl/irc/atpl, there's no work for a beginner?
looking at coming back down south, so good to know!
