Hi All
I have been asked to plan a flight from Italy to Marrakech in Morocco. Does anyone know the procedures for flying in Morocco? Do you have to apply for permission beforehand and who from?

Had a look on the web site at dac-maroc.gov.ma but couldn't find much.

Thanks for your help

I would suggest you use a handling agent to plan this for you , its the safest

Mmmm ...

If you were to order from 'Jepps' a 'trip pack' you might find a lot of the AIP info you require would be supplied?.

For Morocco you need a flight permit and a landing permit

There is a UK company that can do all for you Overflight flight clearance specialists (http://www.overflight.co.uk) , I have used them they are very good

With a name like 'Dunk' I'm not sure I'd want to fly over water with you, pal!

Hi,

Has anyone tried to get official approval for desert/mountain landings in Morocco.

Clearly, there is opportunity to 'just do it' - but I am interested to know if they have a useable system to do it legally/correctly.

Safe flights, Sam.

A couple of years ago I used a company called Geko ----=Geko Air=---- (http://www.gekoair.com) +441293772033

They arranged all the permits we needed to get a S61 into the country and then set up an offshore operation.

Contact Gae Pellet - a very helpful and capable lady.

Word of warning though - Nothing happens quickly in Morocco.

Good Luck!
