Hey,

I've already done a research here in the forum, but can somebody confirm that pilots need an ocanic clearance when joining the airways T9/16 north - and southbound?

Yes. T9 is Shanwick, T16 Santa Maria first (N bound) then Shanwick.

Also, IIRC your aircraft need to be MNPS approved or have an exemption to allow them to operate on T9.

So,

both need a complete clearance including as well the routing?
I've heard they only need a clearance for the speed?

AFAIK yes, however the Oceanic Supervisor at Scottish / Shanwick would be able to confirm this. CFMU should have their contact number.

Yes they need to be cleared on T9 and T16 airways for both flight level and Mach number.
