Probably the worst reporting in the world.

Screeched, dramatic... etc lovely journo words.

Liverpool Echo.co.uk - News - Liverpool Local News - Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport emergency plane landing after on-board fire reports (http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-news/local-news/2010/01/05/liverpool-s-john-lennon-airport-emergency-plane-landing-after-on-board-fire-reports-100252-25525812/)

I like the "sudden U-turn" bit. It's even quicker if you pull the handbrake before you stop dead in the air. Not too hard, though, it's a helluva brake that can stop a loaded 737-800 30 yards after touchdown. :ooh:

“It came in at a normal speed for landing, but it stopped very suddenly within 30 yards.

Impressive.

I love the "“Three coaches came up and took the people away and then the fire engines arrived” :\.

Reporting and aviation. The two do not mix well. Unless you have actually seen what happened and can confirm it with what you have read in your daily rag, take it with a very big fist full of salt.

Reporting and aviation. The two do not mix well.Oh I don't know, it all depends on whether you want entertainment or facts. :E
"landing on its wheels" Now I know some Scousers have a reputation for relieving vehicles of their wheels, but I doubt that even the most experienced of these could manage it in mid air.
Before any Scousers get up in arms about my comments - I'm a Liverbird born and bred.;)
