According to The Irish Times, it seems that 31st Dec 2009 marks the 100th Anniversary of powered flight in Ireland.

Just 100 years to go from wowing the crowds "technical marvel" to quibbling about the lack of a smile from the cabin crew on the LoCo flight!

Still, I'm sure it was more enjoyable than flying Ryanair...:}
