Mods: please delete when the snow melts.

Biggin was almost ops normal yesterday, and were prepared to accept me as a DIV.

Luton was trying to wipe the apron with a hand broom, and was accepting scheduled traffic on a 1 in one out basis.

I also understand that Easy cancelled all ops. (Luton that is).

Given the season we are happy to overlook a few good natured but not strictly within the lines posts. Good on Biggin Hill for remembering how to take care of aviators and their machines. Must be something in the water there.

Cheers,

Some years ago, two of my former colleagues were diverted into Biggin Hill on a scheduled flight when most of the other London airports were closed by fog. The flight was from Eindhoven to one of the London airports - not sure which but not Gatwick. Since they lived in Redhill, they managed to avoid the bus arranged for the passengers and just got a taxi home.
They were pleased to a) get home earlier than they would have and b) get to use an unusual airport (for a business traveller).
