View Full Version : Falcon 20 N28RK into Ocean off Bahamas . . .

Reports are a Falcon 20D went into the Ocean 11 miles East of Grand Inagua, Bahamas - fatal for both crew on board, no passengers.

FlightAware shows aircraft departed Santa Domingo MDJB at 18:41 EST yesterday, headed for Ft. Lauderdale Florida KFXE.

If anyone has any details please post.

I was flying above and behind that plane in an MD80 about 50 miles. My first officer saw a ball of flame and that's it. Only afterwards did we hear the chatter on the freq and he deduced that it must have been it, because i don't think there are any refineries on Great Inagua.
Very sad really, Miami issued him a clearance, the jolly guy read it back. After no more than 5 minutes Miami came back with a re-clearance to FXE but got no reply. Sends chill down your spine is seeing how one minutes your just peachy and the next your battling for survival and failing.

Found an update, possible 4 persons on board, and impacted ground in fireball, as described above.
